
TCDA, in partnership with American Classic Tours & Music Festivals, is excited to announce the 2024 Directors Chorus Tour to Central Europe under the direction of Dr. Richard Bjella in the summer of 2024. Participants will meet in Prague and then engage in a rehearsal and performance tour to include concerts in Prague, Vienna, and Budapest. Registration will be first-come, first-serve (no audition required).

Directors that book an international group tour with American Classic Tours & Music Festivals in 2025 or 2026 will be refunded the participant cost of this Land Only package.

- Participate in a service at The Peterskirche (St. Peter's Church) while enjoying a 1751 organ and a beautiful domed ceiling
- Free time to explore the city
- Delve into the world of Mozart, Haydn, Beethoven and Schubert with an audio walking tour with narration and musical excerpts
- Dinner on your own

WEDNESDAY, JULY 3: VIENNA
- Guided tour of Schönbrunn Palace & Gardens
- Walking tour of the Old Town, passing major monuments including Hofberg Palace and St. Steven's Cathedral
- Tour the Vienna State Opera House and visit Central Cemetery with the tombs and monuments of famous composers
- Concert in the Mozateum (opportunity to perform at additional cost)

THURSDAY, JULY 4: VIENNA/ EISENSTADT, AUSTRIA/ BUDAPEST
- Travel to Eisenstadt, Austria for a performance in Esterházy Palace at Haydn Hall home to Joseph Haydn and his orchestra from 1760-1790
- Continue to Budapest, a city distinguished by a stunning landscape notable architecture and historical heritage
- Dinner together
- Overnight Budapest
FRIDAY, JULY 5: BUDAPEST
- Guided tour of the Castle District, Fisherman's Bastion, Matthias Church and Gellert Hill to see a spectacular view of Budapest
- Explore Budapest's classical musical heritage featuring Liszt, Bartok and Kodaly
- Rehearsal and evening concert at St. Stephen's Basilica or St. Michael's Church
- Farewell dinner together at a typical Goulash restaurant with live "gypsy" music
