Raise a Glass!, by Jeb Mueller, Vice President, College/Community

As I sit in my cool, dry, air-conditioned home, I look back at the spring we've just completed and marvel at what we overcame. Floods. Tornados. UIL season. Holy Week. Spring concerts. Musicals. The Common Cold. The Flu. The Common Flu. No wonder we all collapsed into a two-week hibernation. Before we divert our energy to overseas trips and home improvement projects, let us raise our sweet tea, lemonade, or martini to a wonderful semester gone by.

Please be sure to vote in our upcoming Board of Directors elections. You, our membership, elected board members last summer who promised aggressive changes to our summer convention. Well, we think you will enjoy the changes that you prioritized with your votes. Make our organization the one you want by taking a brief moment to vote this summer.

Final preparations are being made to insure that your 2019 TCDA convention informs, inspires, and renews. Speaking of renewing, be sure to visit your TCDA website to update your membership information and register for the convention. Each of your division vice-presidents have coordinated an interesting array of offerings presented by some of our profession's brightest thinkers. Remember, too, to finalize your hotel reservations. Although some hotels are currently sold out, there's plenty of availability in others.

See you in San Antonio!
