#TCDA2016  We hope you had a great TCDA convention!  It was truly one for the history books!  There were too many highlights to cover in this short article, so look for your Fall Texas Sings Digital Edition for great pics and memories!  I am so proud of the TCDA Office, Board, and vendors who worked tirelessly to bring you the very best!  So many people that I know from around the country have said to me, "Coming to TCDA is on my bucket list!"  To which I always respond, "Y'all come!"  We are so fortunate that we have an opportunity to experience something annually in our own state that others consider a "once in a lifetime" pilgrimage.  We should never take that for granted!

And speaking of not taking things for granted:  As a board, we do our very best to consider your opinions and feedback as we both reflect and plan ahead.  (Don't forget that you can submit clinic proposals on our TCDA website!) We know that our biggest challenges this year involved facilities, distance, and time.  We are already reserving spaces and looking forward to making improvements in the distances to travel to our many wonderful offerings.

TCDA is an evolving and progressive organization.  We listened to our membership feedback and desire to steer clear of Sunday convention activities, and we will continue to tweak our schedule to allow for reading sessions, workshops, concerts, and taking care of important business with our wonderful vendors and exhibitors.  As you know, the San Antonio Convention Center dates are booked many years in advance.  We look for both TBA and TODA will follow our lead and end their conventions on Saturday as well, so we will be looking for ways to have more offerings on Thursday.

Thank you for taking time to give us constructive feedback and input that can help us plan for an even better convention for 2017! As we begin our fall season, please look for ways that TCDA can be part of your school, church, college, and community lives. #beyondtheconvention
