2022 TCDA Elementary Honor Choir

We are pleased to announce the 2022 TCDA Elementary Honor Choir, under the direction of Dr. Angela Kasper.

Dr. Angela Kasper teaches at Western Washington University where she conducts three choirs and teaches undergraduate courses in choral methods and global vocal traditions. Before this appointment, she was Director of Choral Activities at the University of St. Thomas for 20 years during which time her choirs performed at national, regional, and state conventions of the American Choral Directors Association. In addition to her university responsibilities, Dr. Kasper presents for national, regional, and state conventions of the ACDA, the National Association for Music Education, the Organization of American Kodály Educators, and the American Orff-Schulwerk Association. She has served as guest conductor for numerous honor choirs including the ACDA National Children’s Honor Choir, as well as for ACDA honor choirs all over the nation and internationally.  A well-published author, she has written articles for the Choral Journal, the Orff Echo, and the Music Educators Journal and has co-authored a book with Mary Goetze and Ruth Boshkoff, Educating Young Singers, and published with GIA.  This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience for your students, and an incredible opportunity to work with the wonderful master teacher, Dr. Angela Kasper.

It seems to be at the notary's discretion as to whether or not the child should be present when notarizing the Medical Release Form.  For your convenience, we have provided a MRF that excludes the student/child signature.

Instructions to register for the choir were sent via email on Tuesday, May 3 at approximately 11:00 am.  We strongly encourage you to complete the online registration form by following the instructions provided to you.

If you must have a paper registration form, it can be found and downloaded HERE.

The primary form of communication will be email. More information regarding deadlines will be sent via email.  Music packets, rehearsal tracks, and a more detailed schedule will be sent in late May.
