    The Texas Choral Directors Association (TCDA) is a community and network of choral directors from all over the state of Texas and beyond.  Our members reflect choral activities from many different perspectives and are represented by our board with the following divisions:

    Since TCDA is a professional society, your dues are deductible for tax purposes as a business expense.  They are not deductible as a charitable contribution.

    Membership Categories:

    TCDA Active Membership ($50/year): must be actively engaged as a teacher, director, consultant, or supervisor of choral music, who desires to partake of or enhance the purposes of the TCDA and who pays the prescribed dues

    TCDA Student Membership ($20/year): must be enrolled as a full-time student (12+ hours) in a choral music program at an accredited junior college, college, or university, who desires to partake of or enhance the purposes of the TCDA and who pays the prescribed dues

    TCDA Retired Membership ($25/year): must be retired from the teaching, directing, consulting, or supervising of choral music and who pays the prescribed dues.

    TCDA Associate Membership ($50/year): any person who is interested in the objectives of the TCDA but does not meet Active requirements and pays the prescribed dues. Privileges accorded the Associate Member shall be the same as those for the Active Member, except for voting and the right to hold office in the TCDA. Transfer of an Associate Member to Active may be made upon compliance with requirements and procedures for Active Membership.

    TCDA Sustaining Membership ($60/year): Any institution of faith or learning, any commercial concern whose products pertain to choral music activities, shall become a Sustaining Member of the TCDA upon payment of the prescribed dues.

    TCDA-ACDA Active Membership: two separate memberships with separate dues to TCDA and ACDA.  Active requirements as stated above. (ACDA dues are $95/year)

    TCDA-ACDA Student Membership: two separate memberships with separate dues to TCDA and ACDA.  Student requirements as stated above. (ACDA student dues are $35/year)

    TCDA-ACDA Retired Membership: two separate memberships with separate dues to TCDA and ACDA.  Retired requirements as stated above. (ACDA Retired dues are $45/year)

    TCDA-ACDA Associate Membership: two separate memberships with separate dues to TCDA and ACDA.  Associate requirements as stated above. (ACDA Associate dues are $95/year)

    TCDA Life Membership: Any Active Member who has served a term as the president of the TCDA will be extended the privilege of Life Membership in the TCDA. Past presidents of the TCDA will have their TCDA membership dues and registration fees waived.

    TCDA Honorary Membership: Any person whom the TCDA wishes to honor, or whose counsel is desired, or who has retired from active directing for any reason, and who by his deeds and actions evidences a profound and sympathetic interest in the welfare of the TCDA, may become a non-voting Honorary Member upon recommendation of the TCDA Board of Directors.

    Privileges of voting and serving as an officer are accorded to TCDA-ACDA Active, TCDA Active, and TCDA Life Members only.
